This year, along with our Pilsner, we entered two new products into the Taste of the West Awards – an Organic Mango and Lime Kolsch and the Organic IPA which we brewed for the Pig at Combe Hotel. We are delighted that both batches – which were brewed at nano scale on our pilot brewery – were Highly Commended in the awards, as was our best selling Pilsner (for the second year running).

The Organic Mango and Lime Kolsch – like our Green Tomato Saison – uses fruit from Riverford Organic Farmers that would otherwise have gone to waste. The Kolsch style brew is a light pale ale which has been subtly infused with real fresh fruit during the brewing process to create a wonderfully refreshing lightly carbonated beer. We are now going into full scale production with this beer so look out for it on the shelves!

Our English style IPA was developed with The Pig at Combe using their green hops grown in their Victorian Kitchen Garden. The plants should produce much more cones this year and we look forward to doing a large scale brew.
