According to the trade journal, Gas World, we are in the “worst supply situation to hit the European carbon dioxide business in decades”.
-This is bad news for breweries and the pub trade because it is used both in the production and serving of beers and lagers.
By being very efficient in its production processes – and by utilising some of the CO2 created in the fermentation process, we are glad to report that Barnaby’s Brewhouse has managed to conserve its supplies and the shortage has, so far, had no impact on our production or supply to customers.
But thanks also to our local supplier, Alestorm, for keeping a trickle of cylinders coming through!
